Event Description

Inspired by the Jungle Picnic album, the show invites audiences to bring their picnic baskets and their pet rocks, jump up and dance with the elephants, sing along to deliciously catchy tunes, and play games alongside Emma Memma and her Memma mates.

Featuring energetic dance moves, get-up-and-dance songs and inclusive storytelling, the performance celebrates imagination, outdoor adventure and shared play. Designed especially for young children, the tour continues Emma Memma’s signature integration of sign language as a joyful and accessible way to communicate, marking the next chapter in Emma Memma’s live journey as the brand heads into its biggest year yet.

Every Emma Memma live performance is presented with an Auslan interpreter positioned side-of-stage, interpreting the music and storytelling throughout the show. In addition, Emma Memma and Elvin Melvin sign throughout each performance, ensuring sign language is naturally integrated into the experience rather than treated as an add-on.

Emma Watkins Bio

Over the past few years, Emma Memma has experienced rapid and sustained growth both in Australia and internationally, emerging as one of the country’s most recognisable preschool music and movement brands since its inception in 2022. With a growing catalogue of original music and live experiences, Emma Memma has toured extensively across Australia, Singapore and Canada, connecting with young audiences and families worldwide as international demand continues to expand.

In recognition of this impact, Emma Memma has received two ARIA Awards for Best Children’s Album (2023 & 2025), cementing the brand’s place at the forefront of Australian children’s music. These accolades reflect a body of work that blends joyful performance with thoughtful, research-informed storytelling.

At the heart of the brand is a commitment to inclusive communication. Emma Memma’s work is underpinned by PhD research conducted at Macquarie University, exploring the integration of sign language in children’s media and positioning sign language not as an accessibility add-on, but as a playful, visual language that all children can share. This philosophy is woven throughout Emma Memma’s songs and live shows, encouraging connection, participation and shared communication for all individuals.

As the brand has grown, Emma Memma has come to sit naturally alongside globally trusted children’s content, with creative moments and collaborations aligned with the values of Sesame Street, Bluey and Ms Rachel — programs celebrated for their educational integrity, emotional intelligence and deep audience trust. Through this work, Emma Memma continues to offer a distinctly Australian voice within the global children’s entertainment landscape.
