Event Description

Following acclaimed national festival performances including RISING Festival, Adelaide Festival and Perth Festival, we are thrilled to present this unique docudrama performance in 2026.

Enter the mind’s eye of Bub, an 11-year-old girl who’s obsessed with documentary filmmaking. In the aftermath of a family breakdown, she turns to dramatised re-enactments to try to figure out what happened.

In each performance of this latest docudrama experiment from re:group performance collective, two new, unrehearsed adult actors join a young performer onstage. As she guides them to re-enact her personal experiences, these brave (or foolhardy) performers discover the story on the night, negotiating difficult questions about parenting, agency, mental health and how we speak to children.

Bub wants to get to the bottom of her mum’s erratic behaviour. Can these two adults answer the tough questions of a child?

After indie flick (Coil) and sci-fi (UFO), POV is re:group's playful, urgent and live version of a documentary, blurring the lines between personal history, performance and human connection.

Cast Biographies

Grace Tione is a model, DJ, dancer and actor. She has walked countless runways in Sydney, Gold Coast and Melbourne. Honoured to strut her style at Fashion Meets Music, Kids Fashion Week, Sydney's Best Dressed, Multicultural Fashion Exhibition, Star Central Elite Modelling Network Event, Country Girl Management, Sydney Kids International Fashion Week, Grand Multicultural Entertainment Festival, One Collective and Winter Glam. She also featured in a JD Sports campaign, which is currently showcased online and in stores across Australia and New Zealand. As DJ Nesian, Grace continues to mix them old school sounds with some smooth island beats, and has also been selected to join DJ Jazzy in her Fashion Meets Music Runway for 2026 as they tour from Sydney to the Gold Coast in July. Grace is extremely proud of her heritage as she holds the bloodlines from Māori New Zealand and Cook Islands Manihiki. With this, she is a part of the Matavai Cultural Arts, where she has been chosen to be in their show group where she performs her culture at major events throughout Australia and internationally. Grace is extremely excited for the rest of the POV tour in 2026.

Ash Flanders is a multi-award-winning actor, playwright and screenwriter. Alongside Declan Greene he created queer theatre company Sisters Grimm, co-writing and performing in Lilith: The Jungle Girl (Melbourne Theatre Company / Traverse Theatre Scotland); The Sovereign Wife (Melbourne Theatre Company); Calpurnia Descending (Malthouse Theatre / Sydney Theatre Company) and Little Mercy (Sydney Theatre Company). He has been seen in Mother Play (Melbourne Theatre Company); Buyer & Cellar (Melbourne Theatre Company); Blackie Blackie Brown(Malthouse Theatre / Sydney Theatre Company); Hedda (Belvoir) and Psycho Beach Party (Little Ones Theatre). His solo shows include End Of. (Griffin Theatre Company); Meme Girls (Malthouse), Playing to Win (Arts Centre Melbourne) and A Brief Episode (Melbourne Fringe). His plays SS Metaphor and This Is Living were both commissioned by Malthouse Theatre and his most recent work, Commentary, just premiered at the State Theatre of South Australia. He can also be seen as Andrew in the Logie award-winning ABC comedy Dog Park.

Brigitte Jarvis is an experienced actor and multi-artform storyteller working across theatre, film and television. After training in Fine Art and Acting in the UK, she moved to Australia and became Artistic Associate of RAWcollective, going on to create and perform in a number of funded works through Frankston Arts Centre.

In 2016, Brigitte founded Wild Sage Pictures, creating short films and web series recognised with awards including Best Actor, Best Stage Adaptation and Best Sketch Comedy. Her creative practice spans acting, writing, directing, production design and workshop facilitation.

Brigitte has recently returned from The Little Barn Artist Residency in France, where she began developing a new theatre work based on her forthcoming book - The Orange Window & Other Fables for Adults
