Creative Learning Performance Calendar

Inspire, engage and challenge your students with the wonder of live performance. Frankston Arts Centre prides itself on connecting curriculum and current content to its programming. Our shows are presented with Education Resources and a range of ways to engage further with the content, such as post show Q&A's, workshops and discussions.

Victorian Opera: The Lyrebird's Voice

WED 21 & FRI 23 MAY: A family-friendly opera about the power of your voice. Told with colour, Australian spirit and a big dose of humour, The Lyrebird's Voice imparts important lessons on identity and how we use our voice.

Ratburger

FRI 13 JUN: From the creative mind of bestselling children’s author David Walliams, don’t miss the screamingly funny Ratburger when it comes to life on stage, with stunning sets and charming puppetry!

The Paper Escaper

FRI 8 AUG: A bright new puppetry work from Terrapin about determination, friendship and the power of following your own path.

Beetle

FRI 22 AUG: A tale of resilience and hope, Beetle reminds young audiences that there’s an important place in the world for all of us.

Secondary

Arterial

FRI 14 FEB: An invigorating and moving acrobatic performance that celebrates what it means to be First People - the lifeblood of this country. This award-winning Na Djinang Circus performance will excite and move you.

Sydney Dance Company: momenta

SAT 10 MAY: Sydney Dance Company explodes onto the stage in Rafael Bonachela’s momenta. Witness an extraordinary force of movement, striking individuality and powerful unity, escalating to a joyous release.

Waltzing the Wilarra

THU 3 JUL: Journey back to 1940's post-war Perth, with this toe-tapping, funny and poignant Australian musical performed by a stellar cast backed by a live band.

Backstage Discovery Tour

There’s so much more behind stage door! Join us for a Backstage Discovery Tour and see behind the scenes of one of the largest stages in Victoria, outside of Melbourne city.

Your students will have a bespoke excursion experience and hear directly from one of our professional theatre technicians about the craft of putting on a show.

Suitable for both Primary & Secondary students (minimum of 20 per group)

Cost: $10 per student

Duration: 45 – 90 minutes (group dependent)
