Artwell
Artwell is a community Art program, which aims to provide a safe, creative, and friendly space for people experiencing mental health concerns, including those living with, or in recovery from mental illness. The program promotes and enables mental health well-being through the creative practice of art making. The program is lead by an accredited Art Therapist who facilitates social engagement, individual and collaborative art making, as well as guided activities to enhance personal meaning making, self-awareness and enjoyment in Art.
ARTWELL
Artwell is held during school terms, on almost every Friday, 1 - 3pm in Cube 37. Excluded days listed below. Cost: $6 per session. Payment can be made online or at the Frankston Arts Centre Box Office by cash or card.

About the Facilitator: Chanudi Wickramasinha
Hello, I am Chanudi Wickramasinha, and I am excited for this opportunity to facilitate Artwell.
I am passionate in making positive changes in people’s lives promoting personal well-being and self-fulfilment. I come with years long experience as an Artist, Art therapist, Educator and Mental health practitioner with a strong sense in healing and capacity building aspects achieved through making art and creative self-exploration.
Being a qualified and registered Art Therapist, I have shared my expertise within clinical, correctional, educational and community settings in Australia and overseas, collaborating with many participants in the programs run by me in the past. I am looking forward to see you all at Cube 37 to create a fun-filled safe space for all of us to share our interests in art at Artwell.
History of Artwell: Founding Therapist Peter Fanton
Hi everyone, my name is Peter Fanton and I am proud to be the founding facilitator of the Artwell program at Cube 37. As an artist, and creative arts therapeutic practitioner, it is important for me to align my professional practice with evidenced-based research and practice, demonstrating the alliance between creativity and well-being. I am passionate about the Arts and facilitating creative processes that incite curiosity and personal inquiry into ‘what’s possible’.
My professional background includes Teaching and Education, Community Development, both in Australia and overseas, Community Health including Mental Health, including Trauma-informed Practice, Community Arts and Therapeutic Arts Practice. Amongst other qualifications, I have a Graduate Diploma in Creative Arts Practice and a Masters Degree (MA) in Therapeutic Arts Practice. I am a registered and licensed Practitioner (AThR), specializing in multi-modal, experiential, Creative Arts Practice.
