Creative Lighting brightens up the night to raise awareness

Did you know that Frankston shines a little brighter at night? Through our Creative Lighting Program, landmarks across the city are illuminated in vibrant colours to raise awareness and celebrate important causes.

Some locations have limitations with their lighting technology, or certain colours may be restricted due to safety requirements. If you notice that a site looks a little different from the others, that’s why—it’s all part of keeping our lighting both safe and spectacular!

16-22 March - Cultural Diversity Week / Harmony Week - Orange
23-29 April - ANZAC Day - Red
14-20 May - International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia - Rainbow
2-9 June - World Environment Day - Green
7-14 July - NAIDOC Week - Red / Yellow /Black
13-18 August - National Day of Action Against Bullying and Violence - Orange
11-15 September - R U OK? Day - Yellow
1-16 October - Breast Cancer Awareness - Pink
16-31 October - International Day of Older Persons / Seniors Festival - Blue
6-13 November - Remembrance Day - Red
28 Nov - 2 Dec - Christmas Festival of Lights - Green & Red
3-7 December - International Day of Persons with Disabilities - Blue/Yellow/Green/Red/White
