Repair. Reuse. Rethink. Resist. Restore.

Event Description

The Shitthropocene is a darkly funny, sharply observant documentary about life in the age of too much—too much stuff, too much waste, and too little reflection on where it all ends up. Our obsession with buying, discarding, and replacing is laid bare in all its absurdity. Products are made to fail, waste piles up, and yet we keep consuming, as if accumulation equals success. This sharp, insightful documentary asks: what if we valued what we already have?

Following Patagonia’s commitment to repair and circular design, the film shows how small actions—mending clothes, fixing zippers, choosing reuse over replacement—can ripple into meaningful cultural change. More than just practical advice, repair becomes resistance, a statement against the logic of endless consumption. The Shitthropocene invites viewers to rethink prosperity, embrace a circular economy, and imagine a future where what we already own is enough.
