Director/vocalist, Ben Francis, of powerhouse group the 60Four says the secret to their success is passion. The enthusiasm of these four twenty-something guys is infectious. “We love the music and performing together. We love sharing that with audiences. If we can create a sense of nostalgia and happiness that travels away with our audience, then we’ve done our job,” he says.

Ben’s high school music teacher, Michael Griffiths, who toured Australia in the cast of Jersey Boys, introduced Ben and his teenage friends to the music of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. Right away the boys were hooked on four-part harmony. An opportunity to perform at the Adelaide Theatre Guild Awards, gave the boys their chance to shine. With their matching suits, stylised choreography and flawless harmonies, they blew the audience away. Three job offers awaited them.

In September 2025, the 60Four celebrate ten years of performing together. A couple of years ago they added a brilliant live band to further amp up the volume. What started out as a few small gigs exploded into a full-time career performing across Australia and on cruise ships around the world. “This is beyond the wildest dreams of our fifteen-year-old selves,” Ben says.

Their song choices are gauged by audience enthusiasm. The Monkees’ Daydream Believer, Johnny O’Keefe’s Shout, Elvis’ Hound Dog and Tom Jones’ It’s Not Unusual top the favourites list, but they have countless song choices up their sleeves. Ben, Finnegan Green, Jack Conroy and Lachlan Williams have known each other since primary school. They share genuine friendship, trust, professionalism and a sense of fun that shines through every performance.

Ben puts his own spin on iconic 60s songs by creating new vocal arrangements, adding harmonies, shifting solos and playing a bit with song structure. The tracks then go to their band arrangers, Marco Callisto and Emma Simpson-Smith to create band charts. Hey presto, the magic is of 60Four is made. Don’t miss this fab four when they come to Frankston Arts Centre on September 19th celebrating ten years of friendship in four-part harmony.
