World famous circus to teach Frankston locals
3 – 8 July
This July school holidays you can join Circa, one of the world’s leading circus companies, for an intensive workshop series exploring the art of danger.
Young people are encouraged to explore danger through Circus, create a performance with world-class artists and perform to family and friends after a week-long series of workshops.
With Circa’s Danger Club a group of young people will take a leap of faith in a series of circus workshops – seeking the thrill of danger through circus, creating in a room with Circa’s artists and performing in Cube 37 using the space like never before.
Together they will explore the very idea of danger and use it to inspire and challenge in unexpected, exciting and amusing ways.
Local teenager, Teagan, has signed up for Danger Club after many years of training with the former Hip Cat Circus Program out of Frankston Arts Centre. Teagan said: “I like circus because it gives me a way to express myself. I have missed performing during lockdowns and am looking forward to being onstage again soon.”
Cost $75 for the whole series and includes a ticket to Circa’s show, Wolfgang’s Magical Musial Circus. Places are limited. Book by Friday 18 June to secure your spot.

Praised as “manic and magical”, “circus with a classy, classical touch”, and “a must-see show for all the family” by the critics, Wolfgang’s Magical Musical Circus is the year’s must-see show for families.
The man known as Mozart appears amid a storm of powder, wigged and ready to throw musical madness into a crescendo of dives, swoops and twirls as a pair of mischievous acrobats and a multi-skilled musician reinvent the composer’s manic and magical music.
To those who know him, he is Wolfgang, the dart-playing, pun-loving ratbag. To those who are watching and listening, he is the wigged genius Mozart.
This latest performance from Circa will wow the young and the young at heart. Suitable for the whole family (kids aged 3 years plus), this new production runs for 60 thrilling, totally wigged out, minutes.
