Artist Call for Submissions - Season 2025

To celebrate the 30th Birthday of the Frankston Arts Centre in 2025 we would love to celebrate a local artist or designer by featuring their artwork in our Season 2025 Brochure, either inside, on the cover or maybe even both!

The successful artist will receive a $1,000 fee and a Season Pass for all of our Season 2025 shows (valued at approx. $1,800) for your efforts.

Your artwork can be in any medium, must be original and your own, as long as it can be reproduced as a high-quality digital scan.

The work should:

- Capture the spirit of our Season 2025, or celebrate our venue as a place for artistic creativity,

- The artwork/design can be celebratory of our 30th Birthday as a venue or as a celebration of our Season (to read more about our 2025 Season, see below) … or it can be both!,

- Be contemporary and engaging,

- Be able to be reproduced on the front cover or as an internal page artwork. The FAC will provide the graphic design (e.g., titles, logos, etc.) and will work alongside the artist to create a cohesive and visually appealing final design,

- Be appropriate for a community audience and be family friendly.

About our Season:

The Frankston Arts Centre Season is an annual program of work and in 2025 the theme is ‘The Stories that Make Us’.

The Season is handpicked as a program of work that spans a range of styles and genres, for audiences young, old and in between. These works are selected for our local audience to access plays and performances of the highest calibre and quality, as well as new and emerging stories to grow our audience.

Why participate?

- The selected artwork will feature in our Season 2025 Brochure, distributed to thousands of our valued theatre patrons, and the local community. It will also be featured on the FAC social media channels.

- The successful artist will be recognised at our Season 2025 Launch for VIPs and special guests in November, when our Season 2025 Brochure is unveiled.

- Last, but not least, the successful artist will receive a $1,000 fee and a Season Pass to all of the hand-picked shows for our 2025 Season (valued at approximately $1,800).

How do I enter?

If you are a local artist with an idea to pitch, we’d love to hear from you with a concept of your artwork. To apply simply send your submission to us via the button below.

You will need to include:

- Your concept outline, sketch or a comprehensive brief of how you visualise the completed artwork. This could be a previously completed work OR a sketch/plan/mood board/concept – as long as it gives the panel a clear vision of what you will create,

- Short biography about yourself, including your connection to Frankston,

- A portfolio of some of your previous creative works,

- A paragraph about what Frankston Arts Centre means to you, and how your concept relates to the theme of our Season 2025,
