Line-up of Comedians

Bron Lewis (MC).jpg

Bron Lewis is one of Australia's most promising new comedians. She was the co-winner of the National Raw Comedy competition in 2022, and both the best and the worst mum living at her house.

Bron is a writer at The Project, has appeared on Thank God You’re Here, is a regular panelist on the hit show Have You Been Paying Attention? and has a prominent presence on stages all around the country, including as a performer on the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Oxfam Gala. Bron's critically acclaimed show 'Probably' sold out in Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide and Brisbane, scoring her a nomination for Melbourne International Comedy Festival's 'Best Newcomer' for 2023.

 Alex Ward.jpg

Always funny and very likable, Alex Ward has been gigging as a stand-up comedian since 2014 and has been a regular performer at all the major Comedy and Fringe Festivals.

Best known for her whip-smart punchlines and regular appearances on Network Ten’s Have You Been Paying Attention? Alex also works as a writer on a bunch of shows including Network Ten’s The Project, and ABC’s Monday’s Experts and Guy Montgomery’s Guy Mont Spelling Bee. More recently Alex has also been incredibly busy with the wedding of the year, and in between sharing her culinary creations on her Instagram show Ready Steady Wardy, where you might have seen her pair watermelon with gummy bears—a recipe she described as turning out ‘fine’.

 Con Coutis.jpg

Con Coutis is an award-winning comedian from Melbourne. His mix of stand-up and sound effects has seen his 2023 show “Con vs Con Vs Con” nominated for best independent show at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and Best Comedy at the Melbourne Fringe Festival.

His 2024 show, CON 2077, had a sold out season at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, and won the Sound and Technical Excellence award at the Melbourne Fringe Festival.

Takashi Wakasugi.jpg

Takashi Wakasugi (Waka) is fast becoming one of the most beloved and in demand comedians in the country. After moving to Australia as a student from his native Japan, Waka started performing comedy and quickly began touring the festival circuit.

He has scooped prestigious awards and nominations at the acclaimed Melbourne International Comedy Festival and in 2024 toured his show to the New Zealand Comedy Festival and Edinburgh Fringe. 2024 saw Waka become a regular fixture on our tv screens with appearances on Thank God You’re Here (TEN), Question Everything (ABC) and The Cook Up with Adam Liaw (SBS). In 2025 he will appear as a contestant on Season 4 of Taskmaster AUS and will tour his new show Comedy Samurai across the Australia and New Zealand.

 Janty Blair.jpg

Janty (rhymes with Aunty) is a deadly Butchulla, Mununjali and Woppaburra woman; a Saltwater woman currently based in Naarm (Melbourne).

Winner of the 2022 Deadly Funny final, she has been a part of many wonderful shows and events since then. Since 2022, she has also been a member of the Aboriginal Comedy Allstars. In 2024, she performed at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Oxfam gala. She is a recipient of the Moosehead award, which supports bringing her solo show to the festival this year. Janty loves bringing her brand of Blak comedy to the stage while showcasing the talents of an older First Nations woman, who never expected to land this comedy gig thing!
