Connected Curriculum Experiences

Frankston Arts Centre prides itself on connecting curriculum and current content to its programming. Our shows are presented with Education Resources and a range of ways to engage further with the content, such as post show Q&A's, workshops and discussions.   

This Education Program presents a number of hand-picked shows that will be relevant, engaging and exciting for your students. Click on the images below to discover more about each show. Fun and Engaged Arts Learning

Why not make a day of it and immerse yourself in the day with your students? As Frankston Arts Centre, Cube 37 and Frankston Library are all conveniently located together, right in the heart of Frankston; you can see a show, take part in a tour, check out an exhibition and maybe do a workshop? The choice is yours. Contact us to plan your day and have a truly engaging day in our cultural hub.

 

Backstage and Behind The Scenes Tours

The FAC’s team can take you on a tour of discovery behind the scenes with your community or school group. Frankston Arts Centre boasts one of the largest stages in Victoria outside of Melbourne City.

We can tailor workshops for groups on Lighting Design and Operations, Production, Events Management, Exhibition Planning and more. Make a day of it and add a workshop for your group, or book this after or before a performance.

For Primary Groups, you could also use the day to visit Frankston Library, all conveniently located nearby.

Suitable for: Primary and Secondary Students, minimum of 15 students per group. Large groups of 30 or more may need to be divided

Cost: Dependent on tour, please contact the FAC for more information

Live Arts Production Workshops

Work alongside professional technicians to learn about their craft in lighting, rigging, stage management and logistics.

The workshop comes with an accompanying Teacher Resource Kit.

Suitable for: Primary and Secondary Students, minimum of 10 students per group

Cost: $10 per student (minimum 10)

Duration: Negotiable

Circus Workshops for Schools

Students can enjoy a one-off or a series of beginner Circus Classes, led by our professional trainers in Cube 37’s specially equipped circus training studio.

Circus is a fun way to develop fundamental life skills such as coordination, team work, creativity, trust, mental and physical health. Our workshops cover acro-balance, juggling, clowning, aerial skills, tumbling and much more.

The workshop comes with an accompanying Teacher Resource Kit.

Suitable for: Primary and Secondary Students

Cost: $15 per student (10-25 students required)

Duration: 60 minutes, but longer workshops are negotiable
