Feature News - Accessible online bookings at Frankston Arts Centre

As an inclusive venue, the FAC is passionate about welcoming people of all ages and abilities to experience the joy and wonder of the arts. An online upgrade has now made it easier for patrons requiring accessible seating to book tickets to enjoy performances at Frankston Arts Centre.

This enhancement gives patrons with mobility or accessibility needs the ability to book their preferred seats directly online, rather than having to speak with a Box Office team member.

Wheelchair accessible seating

Our main theatre features two permanent spaces in row J dedicated to patrons using a wheelchair. These spaces can now be booked directly online, and feature a wheelchair icon as shown below. An additional seat next to the wheelchair space is allocated for patrons attending with a wheelchair user and can be identified by the people icon. Additional wheelchair spaces may be arranged, upon request to the Box Office.

Companion Cards

We accept Companion Cards for all ticketed events. This allows the cardholder to book a complimentary ticket for their companion to events and performances at Frankston Arts Centre. To book a Companion Card seat, select your preferred seat and continue to select Companion Card as your ticket type on the following screen.

Auslan seating

Select performances in our Theatre Season offer Auslan interpretation, enabling the Deaf community to share theatre experiences. Quality theatre-trained Auslan interpreters ensure that interpreted events are an immersive and engaging experience.

For performances that offer Auslan interpretation, patrons can now book from a specific area of seating in the stalls closest to the section of stage where the Auslan interpreter will be standing. These seats feature a sign language logo as shown in the image below.

Emergency Access seating

A selection of easily accessed seats in the stalls are held by Box Office for performances that have sold out. These seats can be released for sale, however if you choose to purchase an Emergency Access seat you may be asked to move on the day of the performance if the seat is needed by another patron for accessibility reasons.

Emergency Access seats are identifiable by the letters EA, and you will receive a pop-up notification confirming you are aware that there is a small chance you may need to relocate to another seat in the theatre.
