Below is a list of the most commonly asked questions about Frankston Arts Cente (The FAC).

When are you reopening?
Frankston Arts Centre is committed to the safety of all audience members, performers, crew and theatre staff. In line with the latest advice from the Australian Federal and Victorian Governments on the prevention of the spread of COVID-19, Frankston Arts Centre will be temporarily closed from Monday 16 March through until further notice.   During this time the situation will be continually reviewed and decisions on re-opening will follow Government advice.

Is my show / event / performance cancelled?
Please go to our Whats On – Buy Tickets page and search for your event. All events are updated with their current information which will state if an event has been cancelled or rescheduled.

How do I get a refund?
You can find out if your event has been cancelled or rescheduled by checking our Whats On – Buy Tickets page and search for your event. If your event has been cancelled or rescheduled you will be entitled to a full refund - in this case the Box Office will contact you about a refund. If your show has not been cancelled or rescheduled you can still receive a refund up to two working days prior to the event date at a small fee. If you would like a refund please call the Box Office on 9784 1060 during normal Box Office hours which are currently 9-5 on weekdays.

How do I purchase a ticket?

What hours is the FAC open
The FAC Box Office is open 9am-5pm Monday-Friday, 9am-2pm Saturday and from 1 hour before performances for ticket sales/collections (the phone will not be answered during ticket collect times). 
The Box Office will be closed on Public Holidays.

What types of Concessions are accepted at FAC?
A concession is generally a Pensioner, Senior or Full Time student. Concessions are not offered at each performance, please check before purchasing tickets. Please present your concession card on entry to the auditorium.

Do I need to purchase a ticket for my baby/toddler?
Unless otherwise indicated everyone going into the theatre requires a ticket, please check before purchasing tickets

What time should I arrive for a performance?
The foyer, Box Office and bar will be open 1 hour before performances, it is suggested you arrive 30minutes prior to performance start

What happens if I am late for a performance?
In most cases the Front of House staff will assist you into the theatre at the next suitable time.  However some performances have a total 'lock out' once it has begun

I have lost my tickets, can I still get in?
Lost ticket can be reprinted in the hour prior to the performance starting at a cost of $1 per ticket, or a Lost Ticket voucher can be issued which must be redeemed at the Box Office in the hour prior to the performance starting.

I have purchased a concession ticket, but now a full priced adult will be attending, can I swap the ticket?
Bring the ticket to the Box Office and the ticket can be exchanged with payment of the price difference

Can I take photos / videos / recordings of any sort during performance?
As a general rule no photography or recording of any type is permitted in the theatre, on occasions the presenter of the performance may allow photography etc (eg some school performances), please check with Front of House Staff.

Can I take food and/or drinks into the theatre?
Non-alcholic  beverages in plastic bottles and dry food are the only consumables permitted in the theatre during performances. No hot drinks or hot food is allowed in the auditorium.
Alcoholic beverages in plastic may be permitted at some performances, for your convenience beverages in glass can be decanted into a plastic cup.

Will it be hot/cold in the theatre?
The temperature inside most theatre venues is, if you’ll excuse the play on words, a hot topic! The FAC makes every effort to ensure a comfortable internal temperature for its patrons, however maintaining a constant temperature inside such a large auditorium is a constant challenge. Patrons should feel free to report any concerns to front of house staff who will investigate

Is there a booster seat for my young child?
There is a limited number of boosters available, however these are not offered at performances when the audience is predominately young children as the limited number available would not be able to accommodate the demand. These are issued on a first come, first served basis.

What do I do with my pram/pusher?
Prams and pushers are NOT permitted in the theatre.  However, we will happily store them while you attend one of our performances.  Please ask our Front of House staff.

I use a walking frame, can I get into the seating?
You may use your frame to gain access to your seat, the Front of House staff will then store it for you and return it to you at interval and the end of the show

I use a wheelchair, where can I sit?
Wheelchair access is easy in Row J, seats will be removed before your arrival and you may be seated alongside your friends.  Please advise the Box Office of your requirements at time of purchase.

I have a hearing loss, what can I do?
A number of Audio Assistance Receivers are available for loan (at no charge) to enhance your experience.  Please ask at the Box Office on arrival

Am I able to get something to eat/drink before/after the performance?
The bar will be open from 1 hour before performances and again at interval.   Generally the bar will not be open after the performance

Please speak with Bar staff on arrival and pre-purchase drinks that will be waiting for you at the interval break
