Second round of Creative Industries Grants now open
Friday 13 November 2020
Frankston City Council’s business and community grants pool offers second round applicants $2,500 to support local artists to build the capacity of their practice.
This second round of grants will assist six local creatives or artists to build on their skills to do what they love, while delivering culturally significant work to the community.
Applications are now open and will close on Friday 4 December, 5pm.
Recipients of a Creative Industries Professional Development Grant in the first round of community funding include local comic book artist, Dean Rankine, who is using his grant to further his career by accessing online training with one of the Comic Arts schools in the United States.
Creative Industries Professional Development Grants, up to $2500
The Creative Industries Professional Development Grants offer assistance to support six local artists and creatives to build the capacity of their practice via participation in further training, career development activities, mentorships, workshops and other projects directly related to career development. Please note funding will be paid in two stages.
The significant expansion of this year’s Community and Business Grants program is, in large part, a result of the $6.434 million Relief and Recovery Package Council created to help the City recover from the impacts of COVID-19.
