Tammy Ryan
Head of Programming

When did you start working at the FAC and why?

I’ve been at FAC since the end of September 2012 and feel truly blessed to work in such a great venue and industry with passionate and committed colleagues. The arts really can change lives and I love being a part of that. Cliché but true!

Your favourite show that you have worked on or seen here?Sydney Dance Company and Circa always blow me away, not only for their talent but for the generosity and spirit of each company.

Best memory?
Each time I found out I was having a baby!

Which shows this season are you looking forward to?
The new Cube 37 season

Tall Tales but True?
I almost got arrested on a train crossing from Austria into the Czech Republic as I only had one of the two documents for my tourist visa. Luckily they realised it was a genuine mistake.

Best thing about Frankston
The passionate team at FAC.

Favourite Food & Drink
Fresh seafood and a good glass of pinot or a crisp super cold white wine – depending on the season.

Funniest question you have been asked?
Not funny but….Why do people often ask if my name is Tamara?

Funniest thing an audience member has done?
Heckled the performers in the middle of a performance – “I can’t hear you” they yelled, as I slid very low into my seat. Now for the funniest time……..

Who are the friendliest/funniest celebrities you have worked with?
Sammy J - he is a genuine nice guy and super talented!

Do you have any superstitions?
Not really…….but I do tend to listen to my intuition.

Best solution you worked out for a problem?
Be kind, understanding and look at the problem via a number of perspectives……..and Breathe!
