It's a new year and a new look for Box Office

Tuesday 14 January 2020

The Box Office is being refurbished to provide greater access and facilities for both customers and staff.

Our Box Office is getting a brand new look!

During normal working hours our Box Office will operate from Cube 37 and on event days there will be a Pop Up Box Office in the foyer corner near the entry.

The new Box Office will bring many improvements including:

  • a much more friendly counter for our customers who are in wheelchairs as a section will be at a lower height to allow easy access. All doors and the counter are now compliant with the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA).
  • the counter will be moved closer to the main entry point which allows for greater visibility for customers entering the venue to immediately locate the Box Office (You'd be surprised how many people wander the foyer for a while before noticing the box office)
  • the new location allows our staff to better view and monitor more of  the activities and patrons in the foyer which improves security for staff, patrons and facilities.
  • the queues for Box Office and the Bar will now be further apart giving foyer patrons greater ability to move through. This new configuration will remove the tight bottle neck that sometimes occurred on particularly busy show days.

Other improvements include increased office space, a more comfortable break-out area for ushers and direct access to backstage which will be invaluable during the times when the foyer is buzzing with patrons.

We expect to be operating from the new-look Box Office by mid April. We apologise if you are inconvenienced by any of the renovations during this time however we expect it will be business as usual and should not impact on events and customer experience.
