Artful: Art for Dementia Workshop
Friday 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th October (4 week program) | 10:00am – 12:00 pm
Artful: Art for Dementia offers people living with dementia and their carers or families an opportunity to enjoy a structured art program.
Anyone with a diagnosis of dementia that is still living at home, is eligible to sign up for the 4 week program. There can be social isolation for people living with dementia and their care partners, with a reduction in meaningful engagement. This is an opportunity for new stimuli and interaction for both parties.
Artful: Art for Dementia is about rebuilding connections and is a space for expression and is inclusive and accessible for all participants.
This wonderful program is based on and credited to Artful: Art and Dementia, a program designed by the Museum of Contemporary Art (MCA) in Sydney. The Frankston Arts Centre thanks the MCA for the excellent resources to be able to deliver this program to our community.
