We love making things with clay and getting lost in the process. We love the history and evolution of clay and the contrasts – the fact that it’s fragile but strong enough to last generations, dug up after centuries after being forgotten. We love the texture, its raw state and the intense heat that changes clay to something everlasting.

We like getting our hands dirty, making everything ourselves in our studio while being very nice to the environment. With a Masters of Ceramics behind us, there is a strong emphasis on mixing the latest in ceramic technology with traditional making methods. Our porcelain is mixed with quartz to provide a warmer, more eggshell white finish. Drawing on the history and enduring romance of porcelain we place a great emphasis on craftsmanship – each piece is made by hand, meticulously finished and kiln fired up to 4 times.

Ceramic pendants have always been worn by travelers as talismans and amulets to ensure protection and courage. Having withstood the intense heat of the ‘fiery furnace’ they symbolize the romantic survival against all odds. Iggy and Lou Lou combine this romance and history with an element of tongue and cheek humor – made perfect for modern day lovers. All metals are sterling silver or 9 carat gold.

Home is our favorite creative space. We like things that are rare and unexpected, a mix of evolution and tradition. We make pieces that we love – limited, numbered and made to keep 4ever.

The Iggy and Lou Lou pieces on this website are handmade by us and we photograph each piece for you. You are buying the exact piece pictured unless the item is stated as a handmade limited edition. Either way, when an item is sold out, it’s sold out forever.
