Viewable by day and night Fee Mahy exhibits her amazing ability to see endless possibilities in all things textile. Fee Mahy is a talented, local textile artist who has been working in the industry for many years.  Fee has numerous awards including ‘Best Textile in Show’ at the 2012 Derinya Art Show and was a finalist in the Australasian Quilt Expo in 2010.

A love for travel found Fee spending ten years in the U.K. This provided many opportunities for her to learn new styles and techniques which she incorporates in her pieces today.

In 2001, she embarked upon her own business, simply called ‘Fee’, focusing on personalized items such as dolls, cushions and framed artwork.

Fee is a continuous collector of fabrics and all things textile, able to see endless possibilities in otherwise simple materials. Her work is all handmade by Fee herself, with exceptional attention to detail, lovingly crafted in her home based studio. Her pieces are sold throughout boutique homeware stores in Melbourne and on the Peninsula.

Fee has a special connection with the Derinya Art Show. Along with both her daughters attending Derinya Primary School, she has also co-ordinated the craft/sculpture section for the past two years. She is thrilled to be part of the show this year as an exhibitor.

Fee lives locally with her husband and two daughters.
