The Vienna Boys Choir returns to Australia to premiere a captivating new work by acclaimed composer Elena Kats-Chernin.
For nearly 500 years the Vienna Boys Choir, or Wiener Sängerknaben, has been an enduring symbol of Europe, working with some of history’s most notable composers such as Schubert, Salieri, Joseph Haydn and Anton Bruckner. The Vienna Boys Choir has also worked with conductors Claudio Abbado, Leonard Bernstein, Nikolaus Harnoncourt, Herbert von Karajan, Carlos Kleiber, Lorin Maazel, Riccardo Muti and Sir George Solti. This special program includes an eclectic selection of the choir’s own choral repertoire which it performs internationally.
