The second work in Malthouse Theatre's award winning education program, Tame is an opportunity for young people to engage deeply with the theatre-making experience from conception, to creation, to presentation. This episodic work empowers students to use their interpretive skills and imaginations to develop a performance based around the greatest challenge of their generation - climate change.
Equipped with an innovative script and stimulus materials, students are required to select a part from Tame script and develop it throughout Term 3, 2013. All of the schools involved in the region will then come together in Term 4 to perform their pieces at Cube 37 @ Frankston Arts Centre before their peers and the professional cast from Malthouse Theatre.
Tame acknowledges students as young artists and allows them to express their creative freedom throughout all stages of the theatre making experience.
